We've shared many of our STEM Experiences below with information about the target age for which the activities were originally designed, information on the age range for which our team believes the activities could be adapted, and a per student cost estimate for supplies necessary to successfully launch your own version of each Experience.

Week-Long Experiences
These experiences are presented in an all-day, week-long format with ~40 hours worth of activities and lessons, but flexible enough to suit afterschool programs or other out-of-school time programs.
Target Age: 3rd-5th graders
Adaptable: 1st-6th graders
Supply Cost: $35-$45 per student
Celebrating over 50 years of space travel, students use the engineering design process as they learn about humans' endeavors to return to the Moon and visit Mars.
Target Age: 6th-12th graders
Adaptable: 4th-12th graders

Students experience the daily lives of STEM professionals in areas such as forensics, life sciences, computer science, aerospace and much more. The Experience is centered around a mystery which the students will be solving through many hands-on activities.
Target Age: 9th-12th graders
Adaptable: 6th-12th graders
Supply Cost: $35-$45 per student
Use engineering as a force for good! In this Experience, students will explore the real needs of individuals, brainstorm solutions, and design tools to assist individuals’ needs. Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of others through engineering?

Supply Cost: $35-$45 per student
Immerse yourself in the vast world of engineering! Students will experience problem-solving and troubleshooting, and gain insight on what it is like to study engineering. Through the exploration of local companies, students will discover a variety of engineering disciplines, including electrical, civil, mechanical, petroleum, chemical, and aerospace.

M*A*S*H (Medical Applications of Science for Health) is a program designed for students interested in a career in the medical field. This experience will give you a unique look into the healthcare industry while practicing some of the important skill sets of these careers.
Target Age: 6th-8th graders
Adaptable: 4th-5th graders
Supply Cost: $50-$60 per student
Opportunities and careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are all around us. Students will explore customs and cultures near and far as they learn how STEM helps shape and influence the world.
Target Age: 4th-6th graders
Adaptable: 7th-8th graders
Supply Cost: $30-$45 per student
Students will learn about different aspects of computer science and be inspired to explore different careers. Students will participate in a wide variety of activities to encourage and develop their creative problem-solving skills!
Target Age: 6th-8th graders
Adaptable: 9th - 12th graders
Supply Cost: $25-$30 per student
Don’t just compete; CREATE! In this camp, students will design a new challenge for the Conquer Youth obstacle course race while learning about living a healthy lifestyle and careers in sports medicine.
Target Age: 5th-6th graders
Adaptable: 4th-8th graders
Supply Cost: $15-$20 per student
Created by AIA of Eastern Oklahoma, this is the perfect program to allow students to explore their design skills. Each day is chock-full of hands-on activities to teach kids how to evaluate and synthesize information, how to collaborate, and how to use creative problem-solving techniques when confronted with real-world dilemmas.
Special Events/Contests
These competitions could be used by educators in classrooms, afterschool clubs, summer programs, and even family or community events.
Target Age: 3rd - 12th graders
Supply Cost: $5-$10 per student group
Student work together to build boats out of cardboard and duct tape that can stay afloat. This challenge could be modified to require boats to either hold a specific mass of objects or, if it is available, the students themselves!
Target Age: 3rd - 12th graders
Supply Cost: $25-$40 per student group
Students work together to build a scale model gingerbread replica of the architecturally significant building of their choosing.
Target Age: 3rd -6th graders
Adaptable: K - 12th graders
Supply Cost: About $5 per student
Get your students excited about aeronautics and flight by building kites out of the recycled material and giving them a test flight! Add an element of competition to the experience by having judges select the most unique and or successful kites!
Target Age: 6th - 12th graders
Supply Cost: $50 - $75 per student group
Students compete in a day-long series of challenges using Hunger Games as a theme!

Don't need a whole week's worth of activities? Our STEM in a Bag curriculum offers a shorter projects to infuse a little STEMspiration into any time with students! Each activity's materials are designed to cost less that $1 per student!
